I was born in the North Country, as I call my native country of Poland. I spent my childhood on the coast of the Baltic Sea. From an early age, my father took me to the beach and that’s how my connection with the sea and wind began. He always took a camera with him.
My father’s life passion was sailing, my mum, up until this day, spends her best moments amongst the trees, working in the garden. Because of my parents’ love for green and blue spaces, together with my sister, we spent much time at the seaside, in the mountains, on the lakes, or at my grandparents’ farm. The summers spent at the farm are the ones most ingrained in me. These were summer months of freedom and laughter; running barefoot, climbing trees, feeding horses, cows and chickens, sleeping in the barn with a bunch of cousins, rushing through the fields at the end of the day to keep my grandmother company as she was calling and gathering cattle. Memories of our secret hut in the woods, of my family, animals, memories of hundreds of mosquito bites and green apples, are all still and always will be so alive in my mind, but most of all, I cherish the memory of my grandparents’ love and patience for their seven grandchildren.
Nature and the outdoors is the door to my true self. I have a special love for the ocean and water. This is the first time I have lived in the mountain country, in Switzerland - a land locked without an ocean.. These last few years I have spent lots of time at high altitudes and it is another beautiful and awe inspiring world.
The raw ocean or mountains don’t pretend they are just there; they have always been there and will be. Nature is the only true thing there is, it doesn’t manipulate us, it is honest and pure. There is something extremely relieving with living in a natural and unpretentious world. It’s pure magic.
This blog is about what I love and care about. My greater life’s vision or my long-term goal is to have a simpler life, doing things that really matter. Because such life is better and even better to see how others care about and love this planet, and this is about them too.
